Mr. Jola was born in Plymouth, Pennsylvania on April 24, 1924 to the late Peter Jola and Mary Bolka Jola. He and his wife have lived in Cleveland for 31 years after their move from Marietta GA. He is preceded in death by his son David Jola. He was of the Catholic faith.
Mr. Jola served with honor in the United States Air Force from 1942 to 1945 where he maintained the B24 bombers. He retired from Lockheed on January 31, 1980 after 34 years, where he worked with structure instillation and was a supervisor. In his retirement he worked alongside his daughter Jolly, making wooden toys for her shop in Helen.
Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years Mrs. Ruth Jola of Cleveland, daughter and son-in-law Jolly and Daniel Nichols, Helen; daughter Patricia Moulton, Cleveland, son James Jola, Hamilton, IN; sisters Stella Washic, Nanticoke, PA and Irene Pavlic, Plymouth, PA; grandchildren Kelly Jola, South Lake Tahoe, CA; Jerry Noe, Cleveland and Oriana Ferguson Cornelia; step grandchildren, Michael Light, Tuscan, AZ; Krista Gaier, Avon, IN; Anna Etheridge, Milledgeville and Charlotte Dunnaway of Macon, one great grandchild Raven Ferguson of Cornelia and his Godson Kenny Pavlic, Hunlocks Creek, PA.
