Ms. Patterson passed away Sunday, June 10, 2012.
Ms. Patterson was born on June 25, 1993. She was the manager of Bodensee Restaurant in Helen. She is preceded in death by her grandfather Hank Gresham and her Nana Peggy.
Survivors include her mother Melinda Patterson; brothers Jason and Joshua Munson, grandmother Linda Gresham; aunts Tracy Cash and Brandy Walters; cousins Lynn Mitchell, Trevor Cash, Arianna Walters, Haden Walters, and Jagger Walters as well as a number of family members.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday June 16, 2012 from the funeral home chapel with Ronnie and Scott Fendley officating.
The family will receive friends on Friday June 15, 2012 from 5 pm to 8pm.
The family has requested for donations to be made to Alexander Funeral Home in honor of Karly Patterson.

Karly, I love u so much. I cant believe that you are gone . You were so funny and beautiful. SO precious of a life taken from us all to soon. I know one day we will see you again. I am praying for the family. RIP- Karly. (Jeremy misses and loves u to.)

I was shocked to hear what happened to karly. I'm so so sorry, wish their was something I could do, know y'all are in our prayers.
She was such a pretty sweet girl and will be greatly missed. I remember her as a small little girl and all of us going to west point camping and swimming. Boy wish we could had gotten together before all this happened l to tell her how much we loved her and will miss her.

I remeber when you and I would hang out at my house watch movies and just enjoy the moments we had. Now those moments are the best memories of you! I miss you so dearly! My daughter Devin went to Temple Middle School with Karly and she came and spent the night with Devin a few times, i remember her and Devin hanging upside down on the swing set and both of them sitting in the same chair together in front of the computer just having a blast. I know there are no words that can take away the pain you have in your heart right now and I'm sorry. Karly was loved by so many and will be missed everyday

i am so sorry about karly. i loved her dearly and loved beiing around her . i am not going to be able to come up there because of very low money but know that i am thinking about you.i will always remember you . when you would come to the house you would always ask.got anything to eat. i miss that very much. and i miss you very much love you and we will see each other again.

I don''t even know what to say. :( As a mama, I cannot begin to imagine the pain that you are experiencing right now. Karly was such a beautiful girl, with her whole life ahead of her. It is hard to understand how something like this could happen, but I believe that in time God will give you the peace and understanding that you need. Melinda, I can still remember driving to your job in Helen (when I was only 15...oops) to pick Karly up and bring her back to my house while you worked. I am thankful for the time I have got to spend with you and Karly over the years. She has always been such a sweetheart. I just want you and your mama to know that I am praying for you daily, and I am here for you if you need anything. No matter the day/time, I am only a phone call away. I love you, Christi

Melinda, Family and Friends, I am a total stranger to you but had the great pleasure of meeting Karly only once over Memorial Day weekend at the Bodensee Restaurant, she waited on us and made a very big impression on us with her charming personality and dedication to her work. I had been telling all our customers to ask for her if they went there to eat. When I heard about this yesterday, I was beside myself, what a horrible waste of a beautiful human being. We met you at the restaurant and knew you for less than two hours but you have been a significant part of our lives. Your positive attitude toward work was so enligthening especially when I said you were the best waitress I ever had. You responded that this job was a passion to you and how you. loved it. This was apparent. In the short time we experienced with you, you filled our hearts with joy. I can not fathom losing you after knowing you for an extended amount of time. Our Lord works in mysterious ways that we can not question but accept as. God's will. GOD BLESS YOU KARLY and all of youloved ones.

Our hearts are broken and I hope someday the black cloud that is hanging over us all will float away and we can feel the warmth of the sun again. This tragedy was devastating to us all. Our prayers go out to everyone.
