Services are scheduled for Tuesday June 19, 2012 at 4 pm at Nacoochee United Methodist Church with Rev. Chris Shurtz officiating. Interment will immediately follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Blackburn was born in Helen on May 23, 1932, to the late Thomas Hester Blackburn and Bonnie Brown Blackburn. She was a hair dresser the majority of her life and was a member of Nacoochee United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her brother Mack “Bud” Blackburn.
Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Sharon and Donald Carroll of Clarkesville; brother and sister-in-law Hugh and Janie Blackburn, Sautee; sister-in-law Pat Blackburn, Sautee; grandchildren Chris Carroll, Angie Carroll Massey and Mike Massey, great grandchildren Dillon Massey and Brittany “Nikki” Massey, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday June 18, 2012 from 5 pm to 8 pm.

We am sorry to hear about Euzella. She will always have a special place in my heart, she was good to me, especially in the 7th or 8th grades when Sharon and I were friends. I am sorry for your loss and have you in my heart.

Sharon,
We are so sorry for your loss. My mother spoke with Euzella almost daily. She will be dearly missed. I am so sorry that I did not get to visit with her before she died. She had not seen my sister and I for many years since she was member of the Elrod family and wanted to bring Mom to visit with her. She was kind to my mother and would often help her.
She often spoke lovingly about your daughter and her great grandson and great granddaughter.
I regret that we did not attend her funeral as I only found about it today.

Sharon,
My mother and I are so sorry for your loss. We just found out about Euzella's passing. My mother and Euzella were the best of friends as they spoke to each other daily. My mother is so sad that she just found out and would have liked to pay her respects at the funeral. Her health is not good so I am not sure she could have been able to attend anyway. Euzella was kind to her and would often help her with an errand or two. She spoke so lovingly of your daughter and her great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
