of Mrs. Janie Lou Fortner, age 70 of Dahlonega. Mrs. Fortner passed away Saturday, July 07, 2012.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Tuesday July 10, 2012 from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Doug Sherrill, Rev. Jimmy Sargent and Rev. Jerry Marcus officiating.
Mrs. Fortner was born on March 15, 1942 to the late William Ray Pardue Sr. and Flora Nations Pardue. She retired from Ethan Allen where she was a supervisor and was a member of Loudsville United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her brothers Jim and Jr. Pardue.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years Melvin Fortner, Dahlonega; son and daughter –in-law Mark and Melanie Fortner, Dahlonega; daughter and son-in-law Vickie and Roy Belville, Cleveland; brother and sister-in-law Jerald and Gail Pardue, Murrayville; sister and brother-in-law Martha and Doug Jones; grandchildren Jordan, Shane and Logan Fortner.
The family will receive friends Monday July 9, 2012 from 1 pm to 4 pm and from 6 pm to 8 pm.
